Key Dates Announced for Premier Season Kick-Off and FA Cup Final
Attention, football fans! Get ready for an exciting season ahead as the Football Association (FA) has announced the key dates for the 2024-25 FA Community Shield and FA Cup.
The eagerly anticipated FA Community Shield, the traditional curtain-raiser for the Premier League season, will take place on Saturday, 10 August 2024. This match will be played at the iconic Wembley Stadium and will feature the winners of the Premier League and FA Cup from the previous season.
Meanwhile, the Emirates FA Cup Final, the culmination of the world's oldest knockout football competition, will be held on Saturday, 25 May 2024, also at Wembley Stadium. The date has been shifted to avoid a mid-season break in the Premier League schedule.
The FA has also confirmed the round dates for the 2023-24 Emirates FA Cup:
- Extra Preliminary Round: Saturday, 5 August 2023
- Semi-Finals: Saturday, 20 April and Sunday, 21 April 2024
